University admissions funnel

Landing pages and CRM automations for the admissions campaigns of five higher-education institutions

More than 90 admissions landing pages that send every lead to Zoho CRM with the campaign that brought it, the same CRM that WhatsApp, Meta Ads and Google Ads feed.

Recreation of an admissions landing page for a fictional university with its form, next to the UTM fields that travel with the lead, the Zoho Forms post, the conversion event and the redirect to the thank-you page. (open the full-size image)

The problem

The agency runs the admissions campaigns of five higher-education institutions. Applicants arrive from landing pages, WhatsApp and paid ads, and each one has to reach Zoho CRM with the campaign that brought it.

Constraints

  • Dozens of landing pages per university, one for each program or faculty.
  • Each client's pages served from the client's own domain, under a path.
  • Zoho CRM credentials cannot sit in the browser.

What I built

  • Landing pages in React, TypeScript and Vite that capture the UTM parameters, block double submits, post to Zoho Forms (which creates the lead in Zoho CRM), push a conversion event to Google Tag Manager and redirect to a thank-you page.
  • A gateway per client, which is one Nginx container with Docker Compose that serves each program's page under its own path.
  • WhatsApp, Meta Ads and Google Ads connected to the CRM through webhooks and REST, plus Deluge functions and Zoho Creator apps for the sales teams, and lead contact with AI agents in Dapta.

Architecture

Where a lead goes

Every channel goes through capture and reaches the same Zoho CRM.

  1. Channels

    • Landing pages in React and Vite
    • WhatsApp
    • Meta Ads and Google Ads
  2. Capture

    • Zoho Forms with UTM parameters
    • Webhooks and REST
    • Conversion events in Google Tag Manager
  3. Zoho CRM

    • Deluge functions
    • Zoho Creator apps
    • Lead contact with AI agents

Decisions and trade-offs

  1. Zoho Forms in front of the CRM

Zoho CRM credentials cannot sit in the browser.

  2. One gateway per client

Each client has dozens of landing pages, one for each program or faculty, served from its own domain under a path.

  3. Ask for the level of studies

A postgraduate program requires a professional degree.

Results

  • More than 90 admissions landing pages for five higher-education institutions, with their thank-you pages.
  • Landing pages, WhatsApp, Meta Ads and Google Ads feed the same Zoho CRM.
