CarSpace: Parking Reservations
A parking lot you book from the browser
The web prototype of a parking app, with a home page, sign-in, a map of 32 spots to book and statistics for each area.
What it is about
CarSpace was a project for an early-semester course, the prototype of an app to find and book a spot in a parking lot.
It is a static site. The screens show the whole flow, from the home page to the spot map and the area statistics, without a server that stores the bookings.
What it does
- A site in HTML, CSS and JavaScript with Bootstrap 5 and jQuery, with shared headers and footers loaded into each page.
- A reservations screen with 32 spots, from A-1 to D-8, plus location, date and estimated time.
- Statistics per area on how busy it is, traffic congestion, its rating and the users' comments.
- Features, settings, user and team pages, on top of the home page and sign-in.
Decisions and their costs
Shared parts with jQuery
Eight files of the site carry the same header, footer and metadata.
Repositories
Every public repository of the project, with what it holds.
