Education
Bachelor's in Computer Engineering
Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid
The whole degree, from the first algorithms to distributed systems and artificial intelligence
Overview
I study Computer Engineering at Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid, a public higher education institution in Medellín. I started in 2022, I'm in my last semester in 2026 and graduation is expected in March 2027.
The degree combines basic sciences, software engineering, infrastructure, artificial intelligence and project management. Since the first semester I've kept the work of each course in a repository of the EngineeringSebastian-s organization. Two of my products came out of it, since SmartPot started as a university project and GoPoli as a class project.
Areas of the program
- Artificial intelligence and data
- Machine learning, evolutionary computing, computer vision, the semantic web and intelligent agents.
- Software architecture and construction
- The software life cycle, from analysis to design and construction, the theory of languages and compilers and relational database modeling.
- Infrastructure and computing
- Distributed and parallel programming, operating systems, hardware architecture, digital electronics and communication networks.
- IT project management
